What application do you want ported to Linux?

"A couple of weeks ago, Novell's Cool Solutions on-line users community site posted a survey asking people what Windows-only applications they are using that prevent them from switching to Linux. The survey also asks current Linux users what Windows-only applications they would like to see ported to Linux. Novell's end goal is to take the survey results to the vendors and ask them to work with Novell on making Linux ports available." from Linux Journal.

Well... I'd like to see Photoshop on Linux, :-). The Gimp is easy and fast, but I think Photoshop has more features and the interface is a little better than Gimp's interface.

MMC OMAP driver

On Monday I released a series of patches for the OMAP MMC driver support in mainline kernel. Those patches were done by the linux-omap community but aren't merged in mainline kernel yet. We hope the series can be merged asap. Link to the discussion on LKML here.

MMC Password Protection support version 4

Since october/05 we've been implementing a new feature in the MultimediaCards driver on linux kernel: MMC Password protection as described in the MMC Specification v4.1. This feature is supported by all compliant MMC cards, and used by some devices such as Symbian OS cell phones to optionally protect MMC cards with a password.

Carlos Aguiar from INdT released the fourth version of the patches. Discussion thread and more information available at LKML here.

And I decided to create an "open-source" blog. Yeah, it's literally open source, test pressing CTRL+U and you will see, :P (assuming you're using the Firefox). Ok, It was not funny, hehe.
